In 2006, Rob will be on-track for a combination of karting and open wheel formula car outings. As part of the chassis test programs of both Super Kart Illustrated and FormulaCar Magazine, Rob will be driving and critiquing many of the industry’s leading karts and race cars, which will be highlighted here as they occur. Also, through a project being undertaken to provide editorial for FormulaCar Magazine, Rob will be building and racing a Formula Vee.
The current schedule is set for a total of four events in the United States, running at well-known facilities such as Road America and Watkins Glen. On-track competition in karting will also be part of the plans, with a pair of Florida Winter Tour races in January and February kicking off the new season. Another run at the Rock Island Grand Prix is also an option and to keep in shape, Rob will be putting a new RotaxMax kart on track for weekly practice sessions throughout the summer. Results and reports for these outing can be found in the appropriate areas of the site.
